Things I Learned This Week
Dustin Johnson is good. The Myrtle Beach resident won his second consecutive AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am marking his third PGA TOUR victory in his third year as a professional. Only other guy to do that in his first three years on tour is some guy named Tiger Woods.
Tiger may be one of the richest guys around, but even he can't pay for a surefire balding cure, that bald gene is one tough genetic hand me down.
In with the new, out with the old
In many facets of our life, things change, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Have you ever noticed that golf never really changes?
What about this year you say? Let's take a hard "In The Rough" look at some of the newsworthy topics in golf so far this year.
What about the groove rule change this year? Is the groove change rule really going to make golf for non-golf fans must see TV? Probably not. But, thanks to the Scott McCarron and Phil Mickelson controversy, we may have some reality TV quality drama unfolding.

Sure has been a quiet offseason as we head into the end of year. I'm looking forward to the first week of January so we can start talking about golf and the PGA TOUR. It seems like a long time since golf or a golfer has been relevant in the news.
This may have been the start of a blog at the end of 2008, but wow, have times changed! The Tiger story has forever changed the game of golf.
No, not the way the game is played. No, Tiger will still be dominant, whenever this thing blows over. Look for a great year in 2012 from Tiger. It could take that long. Man, has he been busy during his offweeks lately!

I'm in an odd place......
Sometimes being right feels so wrong......
In my last blog, I picked Tiger to lose to another first-time major winner with maybe one other tour victory. Guess what happened? Y.E. Yang, first-time major winner with one other PGA tour victory, The Honda Classic in March at PGA National.

Let's have a little Q and A today? See how many of my answers you agree or disagree with..................
Q.Will Tiger win the PGA Championship?
A. No, he will be in the mix, but a little self-doubt creeping in from missed cut at Open Championship, along with some suspect driving of the golf ball at a very long Hazeltine, will have him taking the collar in 2009 at the majors. By the way, I took him against the field at The Buick.

Well I guess all the Tiger Haters had their moment of glory last week at The Open Championship......
Even one prominent sportswriter, now turned "TV personality", Rick Reilly took time out to publicly lambast Tiger in an ESPN.com column regarding his on course behavior. Uhhh, Rick, just a wild guess but I don't think you're getting an invitation to Tiger JamVI.

I'm on the hot seat .... I've been told by my editor that if I don't start writing again, I'm in big trouble.
Dear readers,
I know what you are thinking ....this goon Seganti has an editor? And how much trouble could he get into for not writing this blog? As a matter of fact, I am probably doing you readers a favor by not posting this drivel.
